Dave , I'll have the old bus with me again for Shepton so will be able to take them off your hands. I think I'll be doing the same for the National ie trailer up the bike.

Pete, I dont want to speak out of turn ( thats a bloody first !) because its John call but I understand that we are invited to the show and dont pay anything for the pleasure because we show the bikes which brings in the punters. However, traders have to pay quite a lot and obviously hope to get that and more back over the two days. You can understand that they might get a bit p***d off if / when they see us with items for sale. I'm sure they turn a blind eye to club mugs and stickers etc but bits like you've mentioned might overstep that mark ?
Why not contact Mike of Maggots and More who I understand has a stall there as well. You might do as I did at Stafford ( when I put my 650 Eurosport for sale on his stand ) pay him an agreed commission if things sell ?

Mark, thats the usual set up. I'll "get my pole up" on the back of the motorhome so look for a Norwegian flag flapping away. It'll be in the same area roughly as last year.
BTW - there are nowadays a couple of caravans and M.H's in our group so perhaps we ought to have a club flag for the troops to surge towards ?

Brian, thanks for that offer again. We're in the process of gathering up what we need and locating stands etc. Please dont think we're not grateful but once we've agreed on the layout we'll get back to you about our needs.

Thanks again

p.s. Ive sent you a PM

Hi all apologies for the lack of information but I’ve been wiped out since Christmas with this flu virus, just as I’m feeling better the missus gets confined to her bed, unfortunately she has to go one better and get bronchitis as well.
Hopefully I’ll post some information tomorrow to let you know who’s bringing what and confirmed timings for access to the halls.
Thanks for your patience Ride Safe John Mac

Hi All Update on the Show details: Entry via the Trade/Exhibitor gate that is the first on the right if you’re travelling south from Shepton Mallet Open 09:00 Friday Halls will be closed at 19:00. We have been allocated a stand in the Marquee MQ25

Free Coffee vouchers can be redeemed between the hours of 10:30 to 16:30 Friday

As in previous years it is not intended to erect the tea tent owing to the evening temperature, however there is a bar/cafe on site where we can socialise or if you prefer there’s a nice cosy pub close by where myself and Mark are staying that we can meet up at. As I don’t drink I’m quite happy to act as a taxi if anyone would like to join us.

Any member wishing to put their bike on the stand on Saturday morning could you please ensure that it is in place between 08:00 and 09:15 as no bike movement in the halls will be allowed after this time?

Marty will find a suitable spot where we can camp together for those members courageous enough to brave the elements. Look out for his camper van flying a Norwegian flag.

Show equipment:
Mike Lamb has offered to transport the engine.

I’ll bring electrical extension cables, work bench to display the engine, table for brew kit/boiler, display stand, club stationary and additional banners.

Dave is fetching the cups, boiler and display banners/frame.

Marty is procuring club business type cads to hand out to the punters

Would anyone like to volunteer to purchase the brew kit/biscuits, reimbursable through club funds?

If there’s anything you can think of that will enhance the stand please don’t hesitate in making suggestions.

It might be an idea to bring a folding chair as it can be a long weekend on your feet furthermore it ticks off other members who’ve made the effort to bring one and then someone nicks it. :( :( :(

If any member would like to exchange mobile phone numbers could you please do so via a PM?

I’m hoping to leave Liverpool early doors on Friday; arrival time will be dependent on Birmingham traffic.

Please check out the Machine Details card and consider what you’d like to write on it. They will be available for you to complete on an A4 hard backed card.

Sounds like it's going to be a good weekend - let's hope the weather gods are kind to us. In previous years we have has rain, gales and snow - thankfully not at the same time!

I must remember to bring my polish!
Dave.
